Square Enix trademarks Lenneth in Australia; Bandai Namco trademarks Fishing Spirits and Ace Angler in Canada [Update 2]

Square Enix filed a trademark for “Lenneth” in Australia on April 7.

Additionally, Bandai Namco Entertainment filed trademarks for both “Ace Angler” and “Fishing Spirits” on April 11 in Canada.

“Lenneth” is the subtitle to Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, the enhanced port of the original Valkyrie Profile for PlayStation, first released for PlayStation Portable on March 2, 2006, followed by iOS and Android on March 22, 2018. A new game in the Valkyrie series, Valkyrie Elysium, was recently announced for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.

Fishing Spirits is the title of the fishing medal arcade game developed by Bandai Namco Amusement. A Switch version of the game, Fishing Spirits: Nintendo Switch Version, was released on July 25, 2019 in Japan. An English version of the game, under the new title Ace Angler: Nintendo Switch Version, launched on July 21, 2020 in Southeast Asia, but was never released in the west.
