Famitsu Sales: 2/28/22 – 3/6/22 [Update]

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of February 28, 2022 to March 6, 2022.

Gran Turismo 7 was the highest selling new release of the week, launching at 73,399 copies on PlayStation 5 and 64,565 copies on PlayStation 4 for an opening week total of 139,964 retail copies sold.

Triangle Strategy for Switch followed, opening at 86,298 retail copies sold.

Other new releases such as Babylon’s Fall and Doraemon: Nobita’s Little Star Wars 2021 did not chart in the top 10.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 96,952 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 25,679 units, the Xbox Series family sold 1,321 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 11 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles continue to face stock issues.
