Disaster Report 5 will be open-world, set three years after Disaster Report 1

Following a tease back in October 2021, Granzella chief creator Kazuma Kujo shared first information on Disaster Report 5 during the latest Granzella Gathering live stream.

The details are as follows:

• The game is open-world.
• The story is set between Disaster Report and Disaster Report 2. Specifically, it is set three years after the first game, during the fall.
• The story is set near Stiver Island… (Kujo mumbles after being glared by the staff.)
• Characters from previous games will appear, including Natsumi Higa and the protagonist from the first game, Masayuki Sudo. Sudo “may be a bit of a jerk” and “his growth from the second game into his current self will be shown,” but “he is not the protagonist.”
