Chernobylite coming to PS5 and Xbox Series alongside PC Enhanced Edition on April 21
Downloadable content and physical PS5 edition due out on the same day.The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions of Chernobylite will launch on April 21, publisher All in! Games and developer The Farm 51 announced.
The PC Enhanced Version, downloadable content “Blue Flames,” and a physical edition of Chernobylite for PlayStation 5 published by Perp Games will also launch on the same date.
“If last year is any indication, Chernobylite has taken a worthy place among the best indie games of 2021,” said All in! Games CEO Piotr Zygadlo in a press release. “The next-gen release is the natural next step that fans of the game have been eagerly awaiting. We’re proud to say that it will be the biggest visual revamp of the game so far, and that due to the simultaneous release of the PC Enhanced Edition, players across all platforms will undoubtedly benefit.”
The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC Enhanced Edition versions will be available for existing owners as a free upgrade, and introduce a number of enhancements including ray tracing and two new graphic profiles (dynamic 4K resolution at 30 frames per second; and 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second). The PlayStation 5 version will also introduce DualSense wireless controller adaptive trigger and vibration support, and Activity Card compatibility.
The downloadable content “Blue Flames,” the first of four scheduled additional content drops for 2022, will also be available on all platforms. It will offer a free content update called “Memories of You” (learn more about Tatyana and Igor’s backstory through new events and collectibles), a new weapon in the “Silent Assassin” crossbow, and a paid content back.
Chernobylite is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.
