Knockout City coming to PS5, Xbox Series on November 2
New-generation upgrades detailed.Publisher Electronic Arts and developer Velan Studios will release team-based “dodgebrawl” game Knockout City for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on November 2, the companies announced. Users who already own the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions will be eligible for a free upgrade. And as announced earlier, Knockout City will be available for free for PlayStation Plus subscribers in November.
The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions will run at the following resolutions and frame rates:
- PlayStation 5 – Native 4K at 60 frames per second or 1440p (upscaled to 4K) at 120 frames per second.
- Xbox Series X – Native 4K at 60 frames per second or 1620p (upscaled to 4K) at 120 frames per second.
- Xbox Series S – 1440p at 60 frames per second, or 1080p at 120 frames per second.
Other features in the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series versions include enhanced lighting (new area lights, ball lights, particle lights, and improved global illumination and local light shadows) and higher fidelity textures, the latter of which were previously only available on Xbox One and PC versions.
