Bandai Namco Studios establishes indie games label GYAAR Studio

Developer of the previously announced Survival Quiz CITY.

Bandai Namco Studios has announced the establishment of GYAAR Studio, an independent games label within the studio to cultivate young staff into top creators by allowing them to freely and directly express their ideas. Its first title is the previously announced Survival Quiz CITY published by Phoenixx.

GYAAR Studio plans to release one independent game title per year. Each title will be developed by a team of creators designed as “heroes” from among the studio’s young staff.

The label name “GYAAR Studio” comes from the character GYAAR, from the studio’s first game Survival Quiz CITY. GYAAR was used for the label name and logo in order to preserve the initial resolution and enthusiasm during the development of Survival Quiz CITY going forward into future titles.
