Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Omega Force have released new information and screenshots for Samurai Warriors 5 introducing the game’s Citadel Mode, Vault, and My Castle.
Get the details below.
■ Modes
Citadel Mode
By playing this sub-mode, Citadel Mode, you can collect resources which can be used to upgrade the various buildings in the My Castle menu. The battles in Citadel Mode consist of the player protecting their base and either defending against oncoming enemies or defeating them. Many missions will appear throughout the battle and by completing them you will be scored based on the time it takes to finish the battle.
In Citadel Mode, troops are utilized instead of items. The different troops you summon will unleash a strong attack and then remain in that location and defend against the invading enemies.
As characters take part in a battle together, their Friendship Level will increase. If their Friendship Levels is maxed out, you can view special scenes not featured in the Musou Mode in the Hermit’s Retreat.
Vault
The Vault allows players to check their play log and completed missions, as well as view event scenes, listen to BGM songs and learn more about the history of the Samurai Warriors in the Biographies section.
