Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! shipments top 500,000
New release quickly reaches major milestone.Total shipments for Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban!, the latest entry in the long-running board game-style series, have surpassed 500,000 units following its launch for Switch launched on November 19 in Japan. The news comes via a promotional display that went up at Yodobashi Shinjuku on November 20, as posted by Twitter user @tsuta3123.
Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! assistant director Shoji Masuda also tweeted on November 20: “First day sales were announced in our regular Momotaro Dentetsu meeting yesterday and we got excited like ‘yeaaahhh!’—a huge difference from the ‘awwww….’ when we heard the launch party would be held at a later date due to current events. After the meeting [Momotaro Dentetsu creator Akira] Sakuma was interviewed by Famitsu. It should be published late next month.”

In Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban!, players become the president of a railroad company and must acquire properties across Japan with the goal of having the highest total assets in the country.
Various new properties have been added for this latest entry, including “New National Stadium” in Sendagaya and “Shime Parfait” in Susukino.
There are also all sorts of events that occur across Japan, as well as numerous famous monsters specific to each area, which can either become an ally or an obstruction.
Momotaro Dentetsu: Showa, Heisei, Reiwa mo Teiban! also supports local games through multiple Switch units, as well as online games. There is even a save function that allows you to return to where you left off in case you need to stop a game midway.
