Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu‘s first major free update “DLC 1: Here Comes Elze Multiplayer” will launch for Switch on September 30 in Japan, developer Level-5 announced.
The update will unlock online multiplayer, new story episodes, dungeons, playable characters, and more including Jet Boots and loot boxes.
Future updates will unlock the character level cap, and add equipment, skills, and the “Extreme” difficulty mode. A new multiplayer mode called “Be the Character” is also planned.
Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu is available now for Switch via the Nintendo eShop in Japan, and is coming soon to PlayStation 4. Read more about the game here, here, and here.
