Koch Media to open Tokyo and Hong Kong offices in 2020, signs Gungrave G.O.R.E
Koch Media expands to Asian territories.
Koch Media will open two fully owned publishing offices based in Tokyo and Hong Kong before the end of 2020, the company announced.
The Tokyo subsidiary will be fully operational within the next six week and oversee the group’s activities in the Japanese market, while the Hong Kong subsidiary will open in Q4 2020 and oversee South Korea, Southeast Asia, and China operations.
Both offices will offer local publishing services to Koch Media’s international partners, as well as act as primary contact for local publishers and developers to expand the group’s presence in Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.
Koch Media CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz will act as managing director for both offices along with CFO Dr. Reinhard Gratl and business development director Andreas Tobler. Local territory managers Jeremy Zitna and Robert Pontow will build up the local teams.
“Last year we opened new publishing offices in Australia and Poland, and our U.S. office Deep Silver, Inc. has been rebranded to Koch Media, Inc,” Kundratitz said in a press release. “Expanding to the Asian markets is the next logical step for us.”
The company also announced a cooperation agreement with South Korean developer Iggymob to oversee the global publishing activities for the upcoming title Gungrave G.O.R.E.
“We are honored that we are able to welcome Iggymob as a new partner,” said Tobler. “The high quality we are seeing from the team and the spirit behind their work, make them a perfect partner for us. We are looking forward to supporting their great work with our publishing teams around the globe. Everyone at Koch Media is eager to communicate more about the amazing work that Iggymob are doing in the near future and we are sure that this will prove to be an exciting and highly successful partnership.”
Iggymob CEO Kim Ahn-Cheol and senior vice president Kay Kim added, “Our Partnership with Koch Media will have a powerful impact for us to be recognized globally. We truly believe that having a partnership and publishing contract with Koch Media is the best decision that we have made for the company. We want to congratulate Koch Media for expanding into the Asian markets and please look forward to the title that Iggymob will develop.”
Gungrave G.O.R.E is in development for PlayStation 4.
