Nicalis will release a limited print physical edition of Treasure-developed shoot ’em up Ikaruga for PlayStation 4 and Switch on October 27 in North America for $59.99, the publisher announced. Pre-orders are available now at the Nicalis Online Store (PlayStation 4, Switch).
The North American physical edition includes the following:
- A copy of Ikaruga for PlayStation 4 or Switch
- Exclusive Metal Earth steel model kit of the Ikaruga ship (assembly required, recommended for ages 14 and up)
- Five-color instruction manual on heavy stock
- Premium foil “Warning” sticker
- Sturdy outer box with metallic gold accents
- Hypergun Store exclusive bonus added to the Limited Edition package
In Japan, publisher Pikii will release its own physical edition for PlayStation 4 and Switch on September 24. Read more about that here.
Ikaruga first launched for arcades in December 2001, followed by Dreamcast in September 2002, GameCube in January 2003, Xbox 360 in April 2008, PC in February 2014, Switch in May 2018, and PlayStation 4 in June 2018.
