Game Gear Micro announced, launches October 6 in Japan
A miniature version of the handheld game console.Sega has announced Game Gear Micro, a miniature version of its 1990-released handheld game console, in celebration of the company’s 60th anniversary. It will launch in black, blue, red, and yellow color variations on October 6 in Japan for 4,980 yen.
Each color variation includes four games:
Black
- Out Run
- Puyo Puyo Tsu
- Royal Stone
- Sonic the Hedgehog

The unit itself is 80 millimetres wide, 43 millimetres tall, and 20 millimetres in depth.
Sega also announced that it will sell a four-color set for 29,980 yen, which will include a Big Window Micro as a special bonus. Big Window Micro is a miniature version of the Big Window accessory released for the original Game Gear that enlarges the screen.
