Summer Game Fest 2020 developer showcases set for June 22 and July 20
Featuring Annapurna Interactive, The Behemoth, Sabotage Studio, thatgamecompany, and more.Summer Game Fest 2020 has announced two Developer Showcase events planned for June 22 and July 20, respectively, which will highlight “a select group of upcoming indie and AAA video games” curated by the Days of the Devs team and Geoff Keighley. Each showcase will feature new content including gameplay, news, and video game musical performances. The June 22 showcase will be held at 8:00 a.m. PT / 11:00 a.m. ET.
The initial group of participating companies confirmed for the showcases include:

- Kowloon Nights
- Longhand Electric
- MWM Interactive
- Panic
- Sabotage Studio
- Skybound Games
- Team17
- thatgamecompany
- Tribute Games
- ustwo games
Additional publishers, developers, and games featured will be announced at a later date. The Day of the Devs team is also currently accepting submissions from independent developers for inclusion into the showcase. The application is available here.
“Independent game developers and publishers are a vital part of our industry and Summer Game Fest,” said Summer Game Fest curator Geoff Keighley in a press release. “I am excited to team up with Day of the Devs for these showcase events that will be filled with gameplay and updates from both independent and major publishers.”
Double Fine Productions founder and Day of the Devs co-founder Tim Schafer added, “Our goal with Day of the Devs has always been to shine a spotlight on creator-driven games, whether it’s one that’s already getting some buzz or something completely new and surprising that comes through the submission process.”
