COLOPL has delayed the July 2018-announced Shironeko New Project action RPG for Switch from its previously planned 2020 release window. A new release window has yet to be decided.
Speaking on a Shironeko Project broadcast today, producer Hiroki Asai said, “While development was moving forward with the goal of a 2020 release, the truth is that it will not meet the quality fans expect in its current condition. While we could have continued like this, we don’t want to release something as treasured as Shironeko Project half-baked. We want to review the game from planning and bring it up to a sufficient level of quality.”
Asai also announced that he will be leaving COLOPL in the future to go freelance, but will continue to be involved with Shironeko Project as a “Neko Ambassador” (publicity producer).
Thanks, Famitsu.
