MLB and Sony Interactive Entertainment announce multi-year, multiplatform extension for MLB The Show
Sony-developed baseball games coming to other consoles as early as 2021.
Major League Baseball, the Major League Baseball Players Association, Sony Interactive Entertainment, and Sony Interactive Entertainment San Diego Studio have announced a multi-year extension to continue the development and distribution of MLB The Show, as well as release the game for additional console platforms beyond PlayStation as early as 2021.
While further information will be announced at a later date, both Microsoft and Nintendo have retweeted the news.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has been creating officially licensed baseball games for over 20 years. MLB The Show 20 will commemorate the 15th anniversary of the MLB The Show franchise in 2020.
