Publisher Dotemu has released an eight-minute “Behind the Gameplay” developer diary for Streets of Rage 4.

The developer diary introduce Streets of Rage 4 game designer Jordi Asensio, and Streets of Rage programmers Cyrille Lagarigue and Beausoleil Samson Guillemette, whose “shared passion for beat-em-ups led to Streets of Rage 4’s creation.” The team discusses its inspirations, key learnings, how Streets of Rage 2 is the benchmark they are holding the brawls of Streets of Rage 4, and more.

Streets of Rage 4 is developed by Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guardcrush Games, and is due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC in 2020.
