Publisher Arc System Works and developer APlus Games have released the version 1.04 update for Kill la Kill: IF on PlayStation 4 and PC, which adds free additional character Ultimate Double Naked DTR to the playable roster. A release date for the Switch version was not announced.

The ultimate form of the Anti-Honnouji Academy Mechanized Weapon: Dotonbori Robo DTR (Dotonbori Robo), developed by Takarada Conglomerate under Nudist Beach’s technical assistance. The final form is achieved by combining both Aikuro Mikisugi’s and Tsumugu Kinagase’s DTRs.

- Unified all damage and hitbacks regardless of where they hit.

- Prolonged the stagger time.
- Aerial Long Range 2 attack
- Adjusted hitbacks of the clones.
- Reduced damage of the clones (100×2 ⇒ 60×2).
- Dash Long Range attack
- Now sends opponent rolling off even when hit at extreme close proximity.

- Changed shockwave hit count to 1 hit.
