Bandai Namco debuted a short new trailer for Tales of Arise during the “Tales of Arise Special Stage” event at Tokyo Game Show 2019.
The trailer features previously revealed characters Alphen and Shionne, but teases a mysterious new character at the end:

“Astral energy” resides in all life and things.
Renans can use Astral Artes, which are a magic that utilizes Astral energy. The user’s eyes shine when using Astral Artes.
The Fire Sword that Alphen wields is a power manifested by Astral energy. Since the sword burns the wielder, it can only be used by Alphen, who does not feel pain.
