TYPE-MOON studio BB established as new game studio led by Dragon Quest Builders series director

Currently recruiting programmers, art designers, game designers, and project managers.

Type-Moon has established a new game development studio called TYPE-MOON studio BB and led by Dragon Quest Builders series director Kazuya Niinou, who announced his departure from Square Enix last week.

“Studio BB is a new studio launched as a new game development initiative for Type-Moon,” studio director Niinou said in a message on the company’s official website. “We hope to work together with many creators, including [Type-Moon co-founders] Takashi Takeuchi and Kinoko Nasu, and publishers to deliver the world of Type-Moon to fans via a diversity of games.”

Niinou continued, “Studio BB’s has a two-pillar development plan: medium to large-scale 3D games developed in cooperation with external developers, and small-scale 2D games developed in-house.”

TYPE-MOON studio BB is currently recruiting staff, including programmers, art designers, game designers, and project managers.
