Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel coming west; battle and game system trailers
First look at the new Sword Art Online smartphone game.
Bandai Namco will release the recently announced Sword Art Online: Alicization Braiding for iOS via the App Store and Android via Google Play in the west as Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel, the company announced.

Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel integrates classic RPG elements into the storied Sword Art Online franchise for the first time in a mobile game. Players can utilize the game’s streamlined controls to use special skills with animations straight out of the popular anime series.
Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel’s anime-style combat will enable players to control fan-favorite Sword Art Online characters including Kirito, Alice, Asuna, and more as they battle their way out of the unknown.
Featuring stories from the original Sword Art Online series combined with exclusive content, Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel offers players a wholly unique experience based on the “Alicization” story arc. Original scenarios, approved by series creator Reki Kawahara, will guide players through Sword Art Online’s virtual world filled with enemies and characters from the series who will join the battle.
Pre-Registration Campaign
To celebrate the upcoming launch of Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel, Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. is inviting players around the world to join in pre-registering for the game. As the number of players that pre-register increases, so will the rarity of the prizes!
Sword Art Online: Alicization Rising Steel Pre-registration Goals:
- 100,000 pre-registrants – 25 Diamonds to purchase upgrades
- 200,000 pre-registrants – The Swordcraft Academy Wooden Training Sword to jumpstart battle training
- 300,000 pre-registrants – A Primary Trainee’s Uniform Armor for both male and female characters
- 400,000 pre-registrants – Players will find [A Knight’s Resolve] Alice ready for battle in their account.
