Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Shawn Layden suggests some first-party multiplayer titles will come to additional platforms

Speaking to Bloomberg, Sony Interactive Worldwide Studios chairman Shawn Layden said that some games from the company—particularly multiplayer titles—may see broader distribution outside of the PlayStation ecosystem.

“We must support the PlayStation platform—that is nonnegotiable,” Layden said. “That said, you will see in the future some titles coming out of my collection of studios which may need to lean into a wider installed base.”

Layden did not further elaborate.
