Microsoft has kicked off its Insider Program for the E3 2019-announced Microsoft Flight Simulator, providing a development roadmap, four short clips, and two new screenshots.

The Insider Program allows fans and community members to collaborate with the development team to improve the simulation, experience, and services of Microsoft Flight Simulator through feedback and insight.

The development roadmap is as follows:

August 15

  • Insider Program begins
  • Media update
  • DR preview release to Insiders
  • Technical Alpha – internal testing

August 22

  • Media update
  • Third-party progress update
  • Technical Alpha – internal flighting

August 29

  • Media update
  • Build program update
  • DR release (general)
  • Technical Alpha – internal flighting

Early September

Microsoft Flight Simulator is due out first for Windows 10 in 2020, followed by Xbox One at a later date.
