TiGames debuted a new trailer for PlayStation China Hero Project dieselpunk Metroidvania game F.I.S.T. during the PlayStation ChinaJoy 2019 online showcase.
Here is an overview of the game, via PlayStation.com.cn:
The developers at TiGames are a group of console game fans who, after working in gaming industry for a few years, wanted to make something from their hearts–a console game they themselves and other players will love to play. With that in mind, Tao Zhang, the founder of TiGames, called upon his friends to join him to establish TiGames in 2016. After that, their first game, Ancient Amuletor VR, was successfully released for PlayStation 4 in 2017.
F.I.S.T. (working title) is the second game from TiGames. It is a Metroidvania game in which the player plays as a rabbit who can manipulate a big mech-arm on his back, explore in a vivid dieselpunk world, and fight against an evil robot army. There will be a vast world map for the player to explore where they will meet with friendly NPCs, encounter enemies, discover items and weapons, and seek the answers for the secrets hidden within.
Metroidvania is a very popular genre in recent years, You can find great games in this genre on all consoles, so the competition is indeed very tough for any developer. However, TiGames still wants to give it a shot because they want F.I.S.T. to be considered one of those great Metroidvania titles in the future as well, with the top quality that PlayStation players can all enjoy.
F.I.S.T. is in development for PlayStation 4 and PC (according to its official website). It will be playable at ChinaJoy 2019 from August 2 to 5 in Shanghai. A release date has yet to be announced.
