Deep Silver Dambuster Studios has taken over the Dead Island franchise and is now leading development on Dead Island 2, THQ Nordic announced in its latest financial report.
When Dead Island 2 was first announced in June 2014, it was in development at Yager Development. However, the studio was dropped from the project in July 2015, and in March 2016, it was confirmed that Sumo Digital was its new developer. With today’s announcement, Dambuster Studios has become the third studio to take over the project.
