Original 07/02/19 at 7:18 a.m.: Compile Heart has announced Death end re;Quest 2 for PlayStation 4, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals.
In addition to a new heroine illustrated by Kei Nanameda, the sequel features a scenario written by Makoto Kedouin that can be enjoyed even by players who did not play the first game.

Update 07/03/19 at 12:40 a.m.: New information on Death end re;Quest 2 has come in via Weekly Famitsu. A release date and price have yet to be determined.
The game follows three girls living in a women’s dormitory, who get caught up in mysterious phenomena and conspiracies as boarding students go missing one after the other. The girls’ names are Mai Touyama (voiced by Chiwa Saitou), Rotten Dollheart (voiced by Madoka Asahina), and Liliana Piata (voiced by Manaka Iwami).
Shina Ninomiya (voiced by Hisako Tojo), Summer Life, and Lydia Nolan from the first game will also appear.
Death end re;Quest 2 is set in a fictional town called Liz Soara, which was created in the image of southeastern Europe. Occult horror-related developments will occur there, with the occult concentration for the sequel being a 200 percent increase over the first game. The story is set in the real world of the first game, and the design direction has a sense of realism. And as previously noted, you will not have to play the first game to be able to enjoy the story of the sequel.
