The first downloadable content character for Samurai Shodown is Rimururu, SNK announced during the YouTube Live at E3 2019 broadcast.
Here is an overview of the character, via Athlon Games:
Master of the ice spirit Konru and younger sister of Nakoruru, Rimururu joins the fight using her kodachi blade and a variety of ice-based abilities. Originally debuting in 1995’s Samurai Shodown III, Rimururu is sure to bring down the cold on any who stand in her way—and look cute doing it, too.
As previously announced, the first six months of downloadable content for Samurai Shodown will be available free of charge to anyone who buys the game and redeems the game’s season pass within the first week of release, which will include four new fighters.
Samurai Shodown is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 25 in the Americas and Europe, and June 27 in Japan. Switch and PC versions are planned for release in Q4 2019. A Stadia version is also planned.
