Final Fantasy XIV

Square Enix has begun airing a new animated TV commercial series for Final Fantasy XIV in Japan called “Choose Your Life” in the lead-up to the release of the Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers expansion.

The first commercial is dubbed “#UnexploredRegion #Influencer #Jockey #GiantRobo” and features the song “Smells Like a Teenage Riot feat. Miki Furukawa” by junk disco band Have A Nice Day! It was directed, story-boarded, and produced by The Relative Worlds director Yuhei Sakuragi and Waka Okami wa Shougakusei! director Kitarou Kousaka, and the protagonist is voiced by Kana Ueda.

The second commercial in the series, dubbed “#FlyingLion #ShareHouse #MahjongPlayer #Hero,” will begin airing on June 27 and feature a protagonist voiced by Kento Itou. The third and final commercial will begin airing on July 2.

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers is due out for PlayStation 4 and PC on July 2.
