Publisher Merge Games will release a new “Action Game of the Year” physical edition for developer Motion Twin’s Dead Cells for PlayStation 4 and Switch on August 20 in North America and August 23 in Europe, the company announced.

The “Action Game of the Year” physical edition includes an exclusive key chain, new art book, and reversible cover. The game itself includes the recently released “Rise of the Giants” update on the disc / cartridge. Update 06/18/19 at 11:40 a.m.: The “Rise of the Giants” update is not on the disc / cartridge. It is a free update.

Dead Cells is available now digitally for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. A physical edition that does not include the “Rise of the Giants” update is also available for PlayStation 4 and Switch.
