Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia has released a special video in commemoration of the Ape Escape series’ 20th anniversary.

The video looks back on the 14 Ape Escape titles released since 1999, including:

  • Ape Escape (PS1, 1999)
  • Ape Escape 2001 (PS2, 2001)
  • Ape Escape 2 (PS2, 2002)
  • Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed (PS2, 2004)
  • Eyetoy: Monkey Mania (PS2, 2004)
  • Ape Escape Academy (PSP, 2004)
  • Ape Escape: On the Loose (PSP, 2005)
  • Ape Escape 3 (PS2, 2005)
  • Ape Escape Academy 2 (PSP, 2005)
  • Ape Escape: Million Monkeys (PS2, 2006)
  • Ape Escape: Pipo Saru Racer (PSP, 2006)
  • Ape Escape: Saru Saru Daisakusen (PSP, 2007)
  • Ape Quest (PSP, 2009)
  • Ape Escape Move (PS3, 2010)

As revealed earlier today, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia also launched an official Twitter account for the Ape Escape series’ 20th anniversary.

Additionally, in celebration of both the Ape Escape series and Doko Demo Issyo series’ 20th anniversaries this year, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia will release a free PlayStation 4 theme featuring both franchises for PlayStation Plus members in Japan from June 24 to August 6. Finally, Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Asia will launch a limited time pop-up shop featuring Ape Escape and Doko Demo Issyo series 20th anniversary limited goods at Tokyo Station Ichibangai from July 19 to August 1.
