Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Nintendo showcased 27 minutes of Animal Crossing: New Horizons gameplay during the Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3 2019 Day 1 live stream.

The footage, which features game director Aya Kyogoku and producer Hisashi Nogami, provides a first look at gameplay and an introduction to the game’s deserted island setting. Kyogoku and Nogami comment on the game features and new crafting system, as well as demonstrate the ability of players living on the same island to play together by sharing a Joy-Con controller.

If you missed it earlier, Nintendo also released the first trailer, details, and screenshots of the game alongside its official release date announcement.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is due out for Switch on March 20, 2020.
