Knives Out for PS4 planned for September release in Japan, supports cross-play with smartphone
Closed beta test planned for end of June.
NetEase shared more information on the September 2018-announced PlayStation 4 version of Knives Out during an interview with 4Gamer.net.
Here are the tidbits:
- Development of the PlayStation 4 version has been going well. A closed beta test will be held at the end of June, with Japan as the main target country and testers recruited from among existing players.
- The concept of the PlayStation 4 version is to offer the same game experience offered on smartphones. Of course, the quality of things such as graphics will be raised to a level suitable for PlayStation 4.
- The PlayStation 4 version uses the same servers as the smartphone version, so there will be cross-play.
- Depending on the feedback from the closed beta test, and if development goes well, the PlayStation 4 version will officially launch service in September.
