Spike Chunsoft has released new information and screenshots on Kotaro Uchikoshi-directed detective adventure game AI: The Somnium Files introducing characters Iris Sagan, Mizuki Okiura, and Ota Matsushita.

AI: The Somnium Files is a new adventure game from Kotaro Uchikoshi, who has had a hand in many popular adventure games over the years, including the Infinity series and Zero Escape series. This is a full-fledged adventure game directed and written by Kotaro Uchikoshi, with character design by Yuusuke Kozaki.

The player is a detective who belongs to a special class of the police department and is investigating a series of bizarre murder cases happening in modern day Tokyo. The game is divided into investigation parts in the real world and somnium parts in the dream worlds of each suspect. Players will come and go between each world while approaching the truth of the case.

Iris Sagan

A 18 year-old female high school student internet idol. She has a bright, cheerful, and lively personality. She is also fearless and brimming with curiosity. She is gaining popularity in the video streaming world under the name “A-set.” Her nickname is “Tesa.”

Mizuki Okiura

A 12 year-old elementary school student. For whatever reason, she lives with the protagonist, who is a friend of her father. She acts mature and sometimes has a snappy attitude.

Ota Matsushita

A 24 year-old N.E.E.T. and net idol otaku. He is Iris’ number one fan. He is shy and not good in social situations. He is aiming to become a light novel author.

AI: The Sominum Files is due out worldwide for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on July 25.
