Total worldwide shipments and digital download sales for Kingdom Hearts III have exceeded five million, Square Enix announced. It is the fastest-selling game in the history of the series.
The anticipated sequel first launched for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Japan and Asia on January 25, followed by the rest of the world on January 29.
The Kingdom Hearts series, which began with the release of the original Kingdom Hearts for PlayStation 2 in 2002, has shipped over 30 million units worldwide.
