The PlayStation 4 version of Rocket League has joined the PlayStation Cross-Play Beta program, developer Psyonix and platform holder Sony Interactive Entertainment announced. Players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC can now randomly match with or against each other in online battles.
To enable cross-platform play (it will be enabled by default), head to the “Options” screen in the “Main Menu,” then check off the “Cross-Platform Play” box in the “Gameplay.”
Cross-platform parties will be added to Rocket League in its first update of 2019, which will allow players to partner up with friends regardless of platform. More information will be shared at a later date. However, if you want to play with friends on other platforms before the update releases, you can just create or join a private match.
Rocket League is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
