Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC character Joker from Persona 5 announced

Joker joins the fight.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Joker from Persona 5 will join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a playable character via the “Challenger Pack 1” downloadable content, Nintendo announced at The Game Awards 2018.

A total of five “Challenger Pack” add-ons are planned. Each will cost $5.99 and include one new playable character, one new stage, and a handful of music tracks. Purchasing the “Fighters Pass” for $24.99 will grant access to all five Challenger Packs.

Here is an overview of Joker, via Nintendo:

The Persona games are a spinoff of the popular Shin Megami Tensei franchise, which has a long and storied history in the world of video games – with many of the games appearing on Nintendo systems. Sporting an iconic mask and a variety of weapons, Joker is the main character of Persona 5, a beloved game that won Best Role-Playing Game and was nominated for Game of the Year at last year’s The Game Awards.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is due out for Switch worldwide on December 7.
