Luminous Productions appoints Final Fantasy XV lead programmer Takeshi Aramaki as studio head

Taking the reigns from Hajime Tabata.

Luminous Productions

Square Enix has appointed Takesi Aramaki as the new studio head of Luminous Productions following Hajime Tabata’s departure, the company announced.

In early November, Tabata announced that he left both Luminous Productions and Square Enix as of October 31.

Aramaki was the lead programmer on Final Fantasy XV, and also led the development of the PC version.

Luminous Productions is currently focused on the development of “large-scale, high-quality AAA game titles.” While further information has not been announced, the LinkedIn profile for a character modeler at the studio mentioned a “new AAA title for PS5.”
