The Messenger New Game+ update now available

More news set for Kinda Funny Games Showcase.

The Messenger

Sabotage Studio has released a new update for The Messenger adding a New Game+ mode and quality of life improvements, including controls remapping, a visual cue in the underwater labyrinth for accessibility purposes, and the Prophet’s hint feature directly into the map.

New Game+ mode will allow players who have completed the game (progression at 100 percent) to start a new save slot with a plus sign next to it that will feature all previously unlocked upgrades in addition to the windmill shuriken. However, received damage and boss HP are increased in this mode. New Game+ mode can be played multiple times over, with every subsequent run appending another plus to the save filename, further increasing received damage and boss HP.

A Jukebox feature has also been added.

The Messenger is available now for Switch and PC. Sabotage Studio has teased “some pretty big news” for the Kinda Funny Games Showcase on December 8 at 10:00 a.m. PT, which will be live streamed on Twitch.
