Rumor: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds coming to PS4 in December [Update]

Icon and background appears on PlayStation servers.

Following a ratings leak in Korea, a game icon and dashboard image for a PlayStation 4 version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds has appeared on official PlayStation servers.

Discovered by a PSN Profiles user, the two images are as follows:

Over at ResetEra, Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, who tends to have information not available to the general public, said the PlayStation 4 version of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds will be out next month, and suggested it will be an “out now” release shown at The Game Awards 2018 on December 6. “Although maybe they’ll announce its actual existence earlier,” he said.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is available now for Xbox One and PC.

Update 11/06/18 at 9:37 a.m.: Eurogamer has published a story echoing a December release for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on PlayStation 4. “Eurogamer understands this to be true,” the website said.
