Guacamelee! 2 for Switch launches December 10, Xbox One version coming January 2019

Guacamelee! 2 will launch for Switch via the Nintendo eShop on December 10, and an Xbox One version is planed for release in January 2019, developer DrinkBox Studios announced. Pre-orders for the Switch version are now live and include a 10 percent discount. Guacamelee! Super Turbo Championship Edition owners will receive a 30 percent discount.

Additionally, the first of two downloadable content packs for Guacamelee! 2 is available now for PlayStation 4 and PC. Dubbed “Tree Enimigos,” the add-on costs $2.99 / €2.49 and adds El Muñeco, Uay Pek, Jaguar Javier as playable characters, each with their own unique attributes. The pack will also come to Switch and Xbox One when those versions launch.

The second add-on pack, “Proving Grounds,” will launch in December for $3.99 / €3.49. It features 15 unique challenges where you can unlock Flame Face, Chamoya, Coscorrona, Ramirez, Uay Coco, and two other (secret) playable characters, each with their own unique attributes.
