The scenario starts in 1550 with the rise of Oda Nobunaga, a symbol of the warlords rivalry, and runs until the Siege of Osaka that ended the Sengoku era in 1615. The story covers eight Daimyo families (Oda, Tokugawa, Takeda, Hideyoshi, Sanada, Ootomo, Uesugi, and Date) and a total of 110 warlords.
