Sega has announced Puyo Puyo eSports for PlayStation 4 and Switch. It will launch as a digital-only title on October 25 in Japan for 1,999 yen.
The latest entry in the action puzzle game series, Puyo Puyo eSports is a Japan eSports Pro License-certified title. In addition to the standard “Tsu” rule, it also includes the “Fever” rule. The game is equipped with Internet battle and eight-player offline tournament modes, and features 24 playable characters from Puyo Puyo!! Quest, Puyo Puyo Chronicle, and other Puyo Puyo titles.
Puyo Puyo eSports will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2018 from September 20 to 23. Sega will also host a Puyo Puyo eSports exhibition match on September 22 from 15:50 to 16:10 JST. You will be able to watch it live on YouTube, Niconico, Periscope, OpenRec.tv.
