Bandai Namco trademarks Katamari Damacy Reroll [Update]

New Katamari Damacy announcement incoming?

Katamari Forever

Bandai Namco has trademarked Katamari Damacy Reroll in Europe.

A Katamari Damacy game with that name has yet to be announced.

The last Katamari games for consoles were Katamari Forever, which launched for PlayStation 3 in 2009, and Touch My Katamari, which launched for PS Vita in 2012.

Thanks, ResetEra.

Update 09/10/18 at 3:00 p.m.: Bandai Namco has registered a trademark for “Katamari Damacy Encore” in Japan, which appears to be the Japanese counterpart to the European “Katamari Damacy Reroll” trademark. Katamari titles tend to have different names in Japan. For example, Katamari Forever was called Katamari Tribute in Japan, and Touch My Katamari was called Katamari Damacy No-Vita.
