Compile Heart shared more information on its recently announced Azur Lane: Crosswave during a 4Gamer.net live stream at Tokyo Game Show 2018.

Azur Lane is a side-scrolling shooting RPG for iOS and Android where players fight enemies with a party of warships personified as beautiful girls called “KAN-SEN.” It includes both auto mode and manual modes, making it a shooting game that players of all types can enjoy.

Azur Lane: Crosswave is an “advance naval battle RPG” for PlayStation 4. It uses Unreal Engine 4 to achieve high-quality 3D character models based on the mobile game’s 2D illustrations.

The girls’ backs are also newly designed and 3D-modeled along with their equipment.

A still to be announced new character will also appear. While all we have is a silhouette, Compile Heart said she has a connection to the game’s subtitle, Crosswave.

Azur Lane: Crosswave will have a completely original story separate from the mobile game. A release date has yet to be announced.
