God Eater 3 details Zeke Pennywort, Barbarius, Burst Plugins, and Installing Skills

Bandai Namco has released new information and screenshots of God Eater 3 further detailing new character Zeke Pennywort, new Aragami Barbarius, and the new Burst Plugin and Installing Skills systems.

■ New Character: Zeke Pennywort (voiced by Shunichi Toki)
An AGE (Adaptive God Eater) that belongs to the same Pennywort that the protagonist and Hugo act in coordination with. He was raised in a particularly rough environment compared to his friends and has defiant tendencies, but is caring of others and has a strong sense of fellowship towards those that he trusts.
He had two younger brothers, but was separated from his brother one year younger than him, who is currently missing. His youngest brother is well and alive, and lives with him in Pennywort.
■ New Aragami: Barbarius
A mid-sized Aragami with soldier-like, silvery ash-colored armor. It wears a ferocious beard, and sharp, glaring eyes peek through from its helmet.
Its left arm is shaped like a drill, which is constantly spinning to intimidate its enemies.
Barbarius mainly fights by attacking with the drill on its left hand. It causes damage through the debris produced by breaking the ground with its drill, as well as through thrust attacks from its target’s blind spots by driving into the ground. Barbarius also uses the cold stored in its body to cover its drill and pierce the ground to create a block of ice and expand its attack range.
■ Aragami from Previous Games
Aragami from previous entries in the God Eater series are powered-up in . Effects and the like have been brushed up, and players can take on these enemies again. Fight them using God Eater 3‘s newly added God Arcs and systems.
■ Burst Plugin and Installing Skills
In God Eater 3, as a system that enables players to customize their battle ability, “Burst Plugins” that expand the ability of a God Arc’s Burst, and “Installing Skills” that expand the basic performance of a God Arc have been added.
Players can set a Burst Plugin for each God Arc part to construct their own Burst state with the combination of God Arcs they use. Additionally, by revising the basic performance of a God Arc by Installing Skills, players can create their own battle style.
Burst Plugin
An expansion system that manifests additional effects in the Bursrt state. A unique upgrade is set for each God Arc part, including weapon, gun, and shield.
Example Burst Plugins include:
Preemptive Attack: Increases weapon attack power in the Burst state.
High Torque: Reduces ST consumption for every action in the Burst state.
Wall: Reduces damage received in the Burst state.
Installing Skills
A system that expands the basic performance of a God Arc by installing a skill to the slot of each God Arc part. Skills can be installed by using the “Abandoned God Arc,” which players obtain as a reward for completing missions.
Example Installing Skills include:
Health: Increases maximum HP.
Slash User: Increase the slash attack power of weapons.
Item User: Increase the speed at which portable items are used.
God Eater 3 will be released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and PC. A release date has yet to be announced.
