Capybara Games to announce two games in August
Capybara Games co-founder hints at new platforms.Capybara Games will announce two new games in August, studio co-founder Nathan Vella told Engadget.
“I believe pretty strongly in waiting for the right time,” Vella said in discussing when to announce a game. “As proven by a game [Below] that’s, like, three years late.”
Below—a roguelike where players explore, survive, and discover the haunted depths of a forbidden isle—was first announced in 2013, and will finally launch for Xbox One and PC in 2018.
Vella continued, “The big studio focus is shipping Below, but we also have a couple other titles. We’re super interested in getting on all kinds of platforms, like we’ve always been really big into doing stuff on everywhere. So, some of the new stuff is not necessarily the same platforms that we’ve been working on in the recent past, which is really fun for the team.”
Capybara Games’ most recent release is OK K.O.! Let’s Play Heroes for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, which launched in January. Prior to that, its newest title was Super Time Force for Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2014, which was ported to PC, PlayStation 4, PS Vita, Mac, and Linux as Super Time Force Ultra from 2014 to 2016.
