Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! online functionality clarified

The Pokemon Company has clarified the online functionality of the upcoming Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!.
In a statement to Game Informer, The Pokemon Company said that while both games will feature online capabilities, they will be limited compared to previous games.
- Players will only be able to battle and trade Pokemon with friends.
- “There is no GTS, Wonder Trade, or Battle Spot (Rating Battle, Free Battle, and Online Competition, etc.),” the company said.
- Players will also need to sign up for a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to access these features.
Additional information on the games’ online capabilities will be announced at a later date.
Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee! are due out for Switch worldwide on November 16.
