Mario Tennis Aces online tournament demo set for June 1 to 3 in Japan
Play a match to unlock "Overalls Mario" for use in the full game.Nintendo will run a “Mario Tennis Aces Online Tournament Demo” from June 1 at 18:00 JST to June 3 at 23:59 JST in Japan, the company announced.
The demo will be available for download from the Nintendo eShop in Japan starting May 25.
Users who participate in the demo will obtain “Overalls Mario” for use in the full game when it launches. (To obtain Overalls Mario, you must play at least one match in the demo and keep the save data on your Switch.)
Nintendo also announced that it will host a Mario Tennis Aces Top Players Tournament in Japan on June 24 at the Summer Jisedai World Hobby Fair 2018 at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, where the players within the top eight ranking of the online demo will be invited to participate.
Finally, Nintendo will host a Mario Tennis Aces Japan Open 2018 U-12 event on June 23 and 24, where 128 elementary school grade participants can sign up to compete on a first-come, first-entered basis.
Mario Tennis Aces is due out for Switch worldwide on June 22.
