Heliocentric Studios has launched a Kickstarter campaign for Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos, a four-player co-op action RPG with roguelike elements that combines procedural dungeons with an “expansive overworld full of secrets,” and is backed by Square Enix Collective.
At $20,000 in funding, Heliocentric Studios will be able to release Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos digitally for PC in mid-2018. While the studio has yet to announce stretch goals for the campaign, it also hopes to release the game for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch.

Rogue Heroes is a co-op action RPG in pixel art inspired by 16-bit classics like The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Harvest Moon while adding modern features and design. Rogue Heroes is far along in development towards the early access release coming shortly on PC. With your help we can finish out the PC version to 1.0 and release on Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
Key Features
- Conquer Enemies, Puzzles, and Traps for Gems – Destroy monsters in the dungeon to earn gems and monster parts. Bring them back to the village and trade them with the villagers to upgrade your hero and village. Survive the dungeons traps and puzzles long enough to gather what you need to improve.
- Choose Your Class – Pick from a random set of hero classes at the start of each run all with their own unique upgrade trees, class abilities stats, and movement styles.
- Endless Dungeons – Dungeons are generated each time you enter mixing up the paths, traps, and enemies. No two runs are the same.
- Upgrade Everything – Use the treasures you find in the dungeons to upgrade everything. Upgrade the village adding new buildings, services, and stores. Upgrade your house, build it bigger or add features such as a farm. Upgrade every part of your character, every tool, class, and weapon has its own unique upgrade tree to max out.
