Bandai Namco has released new information and screenshots of God Eater 3 introducing new Aragami Havakiri, new God Arc category Heavy Moon, and returning God Arcs.
Get the details below.
■ New Aragami: Havakiri
One of the new Aragami discovered in the Ashlands, Havakiri possesses supple beauty with its brusque mechanic legs and woman-esque body. When it finds an opponent, it uses the propulsive power of its leg boosters to quickly wrap around them and immediately slash with the lightning-covered swords on its arms. It is thought to be in the process of adapting to the Ashlands, and as such does not act upon the devour behavior that is a characteristic of the Ashland Aragami.
In addition to close-range attacks that utilize high-speed movement via its boosters, Havakiri can also use long-range attacks such as firing lightning sword slash attacks at a wide range in the defensive state, and aiming / firing its long-range lightning gun.
■ God Arc Categories
New: Heavy Moon
A new God Arc that has the powers of both numerous hits and destruction. Normally, it specializes in high-speed swing attacks as a moon-shaped two-handed weapon, but by transforming it into an axe, you can change it to the “Axe Moon Expanded State” battle style.
In its standard form, the God Arc is mainly swung with the user at its center for slash attacks, and although it leaves big openings for the enemy to attack, it specializes in attacking a wide range. In the Axe Moon Expanded State, you can unleash destructive blows, which are an effective means of attack against Aragami with heavy armor.
Additionally, when swinging the sword blade in the Axe Moon Expanded State, saw blades will appear. By unleashing these in situations such as when an Aragami is downed, you can use brutal attacks that chop off specific parts.
Short Blade
A God Arc with high mobility that emphasizes speed and overwhelms Aragami with numerous hits. Its “Aerial Step” that enables mid-air step movement, and “Rising Edge” that attacks while moving from the ground to the air are still put to use. The Short Blade specializes in a combat style where you can freely run about on the ground and in the air.
Long Blade
A balanced God Arc with consecutive attacks that stops the enemy in its tracks, as well as rushing slash attacks that you can unleash while moving to immediately switch between attacking and evading. With its “Zero Stance,” you can cancel any action, and from the Zero Stance you can aim to deal big damage by consuming Oracle Points to fire off the shockwave attack “Impulse Edge.”
Buster Blade
A large God Arc with high power slash attacks that emphasizes attack strength powerful enough to hold down an Aragami. It can use powerful maneuvers such as its “Charge Crush” that hits the enemy with a single blow of built-up power, and its “Parrying Upper” that blocks the Aragami’s attack while delivering its own.
Boost Hammer
A God Arc that specializes in fighting Aragami at point-blank range. By making use of standard attacks where you simply swing the large hammer, and special attacks where you use the hammer’s boost mechanism for high-speed movement, you can continue to attack Aragami without pause. Since stamina is consumed to limit usage of the boost mechanism, it is important to determine when to use it.
Charge Spear
A God Arc that specializes in a hit-and-away battle style. It excels at approaching the enemy and quickly retreating with its “Charge Glides” rush attacks and “Backflip” evasive actions. After activating a Charge Glide, the spear’s blade opens. After that, the power of attack actions rises until your consecutive attacks are interrupted, so one point of the Charge Spear is to master how to continue attacking without being interrupted.
Variant Scythe
A God Arc that specializes in transforming to attack from three different ranges by extending its fangs. With its “Vertical Fang” that swings its extended fangs vertically downward, you can attack high altitude Aragami, and through its “Cleave Fang” that pulls back the extended fangs, you can deal big damage to an Aragami via a multi-stage attack.
Assault Gun
A God Arc with excellent rapid-fire capability that can fire and hit Aragami repeatedly with dedicated “Rapid-Fire Bullets” that specialize in confining the enemy. On its own, its attack power is low, but by shooting while moving, and coming down on the enemy from behind with a “Drawback Shot,” you can continue shooting at the Aragami while maintaining your ground.
Sniper
A God Arc that specializes in sniping via long-range “Sniping Bullets” and a special “Stealth Field” action that hides the user completely from an Aragami. By hitting the enemy’s weak point, the Sniper will exhibit a much greater effect than other guns. The Sniper specializes at dealing big damage through careful, single blows rather than numerous attacks.
Shotgun
A God Arc that can deal big damage at point-blank range. It has short range and high fire power “Gun Shots,” as well as “Rush Fire” where you can strike heavy blows when the Aragami’s guard is down through high-speed, distance-closing fire.
Ray Gun
The new Ray Gun God Arc inherits the functionalities of the Blast Gun God Arc that appeared in previous God Eater titles. It uses “Radiation Bullets” that demonstrate high fire-power regardless of range, and by consuming a large amount of Oracle Points, you can use the “Raygun Reserve” special action.
■ Gun Barrel Form Burst Effect
In God Eater 3, by devouring Aragami, you will acquire “Link Burst Bullets.” Additionally, you can buff bullets with “Aragami Special Attacks.”
Link Burst Bullets are bullets that can make an ally Link Burst by shooting at them, and Aragami Special Attacks are a new element that deals big damage to the Aragami devoured by the bullet and grants the user an Aragami Special Attack buff.
Aragami Special Attack effects are only activated during Bursts, and since it is also granted to the party who used the Link Burst Bullet, by devouring Aragami and coordinating with your ally to Burst together with the Link Burst Bullet, you can continue to fight while constantly dealing big damage.
God Eater 3 will be released worldwide for PlayStation 4 and PC. A release date has yet to be announced. If you missed it last month, catch our previous detailed report on the game here.
