Egglia studio Brownies developing Switch title that it hopes to announce this summer
"Not an RPG. Something kind of like Egglia."Brownies, the studio behind Fantasy Life and Egglia: Legend of the Redcap, is working on a Switch project that it hopes to announce this summer, the company’s Shinichi Kameoka told Source Gaming at BitSummit Vol. 6 earlier this month.
“We’re actually internally working on a Switch project right now,” Kameoka said. “Yeah, so we’ve got the two mobile games and we are also working on a project for the Switch.”
Asked if the Switch title will be announced soon, Kameoka said, “Yeah, hopefully, it’ll be announced sometime this summer.”
Asked about the genre, Kameoka teased, “Not an RPG. Something kind of like Egglia. It’ll be a raising game.”
(Editor’s Note: The genre, “raising game,” is what is used in Japan to refer to games that involve raising pets and the like. Tamagotchi games, for example, are raising games. Pokemon and Digimon games can also be considered raising games, albeit with a heavy emphasis on RPG elements.)
